"Soufou Medina" looks and feels like soft sticky brown sugar clumps and when it burns it smells like candy and freshly laundered clothes! It has more of a perfume base scent compared to all of the thoiraye scents at The Boutique. This thoiraye is good for large spaces as it can get a bit smokey at first. Once it settles it gives off a clean lingering smell. Soufou Medina contains a lot of oil and will melt on your charcoal when
burning.
You can remove burnt off pieces with a sharp metal object, like an
unfolded paper clip.
Thoiraye (pronounced 'chore-eye') is a Senegalese incense used traditionally to set the mode. I like to think thoiraye is what a woman's home is supposed to smell like... sweet and warm. It smells sooo good! The scent just linnnnnnngers in the air and in your clothes!
Made with wood soaked in different oils, herbs,
spices and some other
secret ingredients. Scent your hair, scent your hot points (and spot),
then scent your waist beads in some thoiraye for a trifecta aphrodisiac
scent RUSH! Store your thoiraye in a glass dish to help the scent last longer. Add your waist beads to your jar of thoiraye to have the scent marinate your beads for later use.
To
lessen our carbon footprint and cut down on the use of plastics with
our products and business, our Thoiraye is packed in Parchment Paper and
wrapped in Black Foil which doubles as a burner for your charcoal.
After use, parchment paper can be composted and the foil can be recycled
with your metals and aluminum!
How To Use:

Hold and light a self-activating charcoal disk with tongs or scissors... as soon as sparking
is evident, place in a burner like a thick ceramic or metal dish.
* Our thoiraye is wrapped with black foil which can be shaped and used as a dish to burn your charcoal.
PLEASE NOTE: The foil heats up. Place on heat-safe surface.
* Once the disk glows and starts to turn grey, add a pinch of thoiraye to fill the center of the disk.
* Charcoal disk will burn for about an hour. Keep away from flammable materials and place on a heat-safe surface.
* You may add more thoiraye to the disk as it burns down.
