Meresamun was an ancient Egyptian singer-priestess at the temple of Karnak. She was a prominent and elite songstress who sang for the god Amun, while the High Priest laid offerings during rituals inside the temple. She must have had an incredible voice, because she was buried in a very ornate sarcophagus painted in traditional colors of ancient Egypt.
Meresamun's Soliloquy is a reflection of her voice... soothing, meditative notes which would take you to a serene place where you were able to connect with Spirit.
This simple 1 strand style is made up of black, turquoise, red, and gold reflective of the everyday colors of Ancient Egypt. In the back, a small drop charm with Bast, the Goddess of pleasure, music, dance and joy. Bast's instrument is the Sistrum; a ritual rattle .... which by the way, Meresamun played during ceremonies in the Temple.
